Luca (2021) - mini movie review
Transported me to another world. A peaceful, relaxing and fantastical world where the days are slow, and nothing super dramatic happens.
Made me want to go on an Italian holiday (pairing nicely with me currently watching Jojo Part 5 [Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind] which is also set in Italy π π π).
A much more low-key Pixar movie compared to others in their catalogue (apparently inspired by Studio Ghibli animated films), but isn't missing the key ingredient: heart.
I have a soft-spot for movies where nothing much happens but it's more focused on the interaction between characters, how their relationships develop and is more of a character piece which has gorgeous visuals or visuals that really suit the mood of the piece.
The main characters were all really sweet and the ending especially made a big impact on me and my own personal experiences. Some tears were shed.
Giving this one a 5 out of 5 βββββ
If you've seen it, let me know what you think but otherwise, I would recommend to check it out. π
